I’m the kind of guy who was born mature… then never grew up. I’m loyal, responsible, faithful, hard-working, educated, athletic, and Godly. I love writing, watching football (I’m from Texas), cooking, crafting, outdoor activities (camping, hiking, fishing), running, and playing with children.

But… I’m the BIGGEST nerd. I love Science Fiction \ Fantasy (love things that are magical and mystical). I paint models, get dressed up for Renaissance festivals (make my own costumes), role play, listen to instrumental music (Lindsey Stirling is EPIC!), and work as a software engineer. Goodness, I even played the violin for ten years.

I try to balance my career in software engineering with my dislike of sitting in front of a phone or computer screen. I don’t play video games or do social media (Although… building a website probably counts).

I write simply because I love telling stories and exploring the edges of my imagination (Writing is my shy and reclusive art). There is a storyteller in all of us… writing is merely one form of expression.

Professionally: I have a Bachelors in Computer Science, an MBA, a Doctorate in Computer Science (Dissertation: Post-Quantum Encryption), multiple industry certifications, and have worked as an engineer writing software for more than 20 years. I understand that NONE of this qualifies me as a writer… soooo… I classify myself more as a storyteller than a writer.

Painting miniatures is a relaxing hobby of mine. Similar to meditation, I just put on music and separate myself from the chaos of the world. Mental health is very important!
